Home Journal A Bedtime Story

At Fetch & Follow, we try to source materials which, where possible, are kind to the environment. The fabric we selected for this new bed cover is made without using finite energy and resources, and has less negative impact on the environment. Unlike other industrial manufacturing of woven and knitted textiles, this handcrafted fabric is produced using hand spinning and hand weaving ‘people energy’ instead. This has far-reaching economic and social benefits to the artisans.

The cotton canvas is then hand dyed using azo-free dyes. Being hand woven, the fabric has a beautiful unique finish, meaning slight flaws in the weave only add to its personality and charm.

Our colour palette has been kept neutral, making sure it still has a nod to our Fetch & Follow style with the addition of the brass zip.

The inner cushion of our dog beds are individually hand-filled by us in our north London studio, using a mix of organic natural latex flocks and super soft microfibre that won‘t loose its shape and stability – even after years of use. We then encase the bed filling in a waterproof cover so that if any accidents happen, only the cover of the bed will need to be washed.

The high quality choice of fabrics – chemically untreated and produced in a fair-trade environment – mean these beds will offer your dog a comfortable and durable place to rest. Because no two dogs are the same, our beds come in two different sizes and colours.
